The rocker cover gasket has a slight oil leak to it. May as well get it dome under warranty.

Noticed it the other day when i was cleaning it. Its only very slight, but was advised by a mechanic a mate knows to get it done while the warranty is still running.

Got the bike back today with the oil leak STILL not fixed, Theyve had it for 3 days aswell.

Also went to fit the undertray and its the wrong one. If i put the one i got on, it means cutting all the underside of the passenger seat out. Its only enough to fit gloves in, But it comes in handy.

Right, Not updated in a while.

Ordered the corrrect undertray off ebay the other day, not had the chance to paint and fit it as im awaiting the rear light clip.

Bike will be off the road in the next few weeks while i get a few bits sorted, Mianly the wheels.

While its there, Ill be doing things slowly.

Will be doing

  • Powder coated wheels
  • Polishing up all the brightwork
  • Fitting rear undertray
  • Braided hoses
  • New tyres
  • new brake pads
  • new chain and sprockets
  • A real good clean
  • Possably fitting some HIDs to it

Just got to find the money, and the time, with holidays to pay for and another car

Yeah, did the direct access in january before it all changed.

Lee, Just get a car kit, try to go for one with the slim ballasts, as there easier to put on the bike.

The undertray to get it one like this, I ordered the wrong one first that was completely flat, which ment loosing out on the storage under the rear seat.

Heres one similar to mine on ebay.

Undertray on Ebay

Will be attempting to fit it at the weekend.

Heres a package I received the other day, Got nearly everything I need, Just short of the Indy spacers for the front indicators now.

Here we have
x2 sets of micro oval indicators
X2 sets of wiring adapters for the indicators
New reg plate (8x6)
Undertray
Rear tail light clip, That makes the single light look like 2 round lights.

Just need to get some stands, make working on it a bit easier!

Will try and do one just for you. Going to be guessing it myself so will see how it goes.

To be honest, the quality of this one is 1000 times better than the wrong one I got. Its alot thicker and the finish is alot smoother. I highlighted the bits that i thought needed a bit of attention with black marker.

Will be getting a new set of tyres as soon as the camera sells. Looking at the Pirelli Diablo Corsa''s

Yet more money spent!

Bit of a rolling update here.

Firstly covered it over as it started to rain.
Heres the shanty town that appeared this morning. It stopped as soon as I got everything out, So i just left it up

Got the front headlight fairing off and sat in the livingroom taking the old indicators off, ait intakes etc.

Hmm, Looks kind of restrictive...Might be a future project

Back on the bike. Went with the orange lenses as they look a bit more factory and subtle.

Then started on the rear, Stripped it all off then hacked away at the rear mudguard. Re located the alarm LED into the rear light so it lights the light up, All hidden away now, Heres a few trial fit pics, just got to get the fit perfect. Also put the rear light clip in place.

Well I've finished my butty, Off back to work.

Sorry i didnt make a guide with pics, But ill try and write something up for fitting the front indicators!

Had to do a bit of filing and cutting to the undertray to get it to fit perfect. Also at the light end I wasn't happy with how it was fitting. Had to make and shape it with filler, Got it something like perfect now just a little bit more to do on it now.

The rear light clip doesnt seen to fit too well, Might have to try and make it fit some how. The ends don't quite meet with the rear panel, so will have to do a bit of bending and filling to get it all right.

Having to use my camera phone as the other camera we have is dead, and the D40 is packaged up to go, So excuse the bad pictures.

You don't cut any of it away, Its still the same. Dont go for the completely flat one as you do have to cut it all out.

Sweet

Bit of an update Drilled the holes in the numberplate only for it to smash into bits. So using the standard plate now. Also when assembling the tail tidy, Noticed i had put the front indicators in upside down, As there is a drain hole in the bottom that faces upwards instead of down

Got hold of a Motrax Rrsend for the number plate and indicators and built it all up ready to go on.

Also the undertray has been painted gloss black, just got to build it all back up now.

Also got a carbon look tax disk holder on now. No pics of that as its on the bike locked away.

Should hopefully be fitted tomorrow, If its not raining or dark when I get home!
