Apparently Gillett has very strong links with Budweiser (he brought them in to sponsor his Nascar team for $20m a season, and has had various sponsorship deals in the past with them in his other sports).

I hope to god its not them.

Just listened to the radio show he gave this interview to - he also said we've now got a 75,000 waiting list for a season ticket

We really need that new group

No, you're mixing up the amount who have watched you play in the last 10yrs and those wanting a season ticket!

According to Tony Barret @ The Times (just recently moved there from The Echo), we've signed a 4yr £80m deal with Standard Chartered.

So that isnt the sort of brand name that Gillett was on about but its worth the same amount per season and United is getting!

On the topic of sponsorship, apparently our EasyJet deal is the most valuable deal outside of the CCC

Apparently the new deal is £20m per season over 4yrs (according to The Times), and Uniteds new one next season with Aon (I think it is?) is also £20m per season.

I wouldnt of thought so either. Apparently they have bucked the trend in the finance sector and have posted increased results year on year throughout the recession but Ive no idea if this is true tbh.

Its not like the Times, or Tony Barrett (given he has just moved there from The Echo) to post shit info though.
