Tesco fuel is utter shite tbh, even my bike smells funny if I ever get "forced" to use it (ie, nowhere else near and I'm seriously out of fuel)
Also reminds me of the old pre-cat issues on the facelift V6 omegas... they had 2 cats per bank, the precat before the main lambda would fail pretty often and cause stinks like this (aswell as a lovely orange light on the dash) but meh.... they were just a gay design for emissions, sorted by moving the lambda sensor

Surely Tesco fuel meets all the basic specifications for the legal sale of fuel in the UK? And I would say its a damn sight better than the fuel my bike would be used to when it first came out in '89

Each distributor usually have a different mix of additives and cleaning agents mixed with the fuel. Just because, say, BP and Tesco fuel come from the same refinery, doesn't mean the mix will be 100% the same...

eggy smell from the cat though means either poor grade fuel or a knackered cat...
