Update time again people .
My new fresh wheel arch trims arrived, keeping them black viynal same as tops of bumpers.
And also my badgless grill arrived, reminded me of my first corsa (first car 1.0 12v flower power)
Also i decided to buy the cav slabs off james suffolk on here (cheers mate) as i had loads of his other bits. The speedline corse pictured on page 1 were sold cus of this change of plan. The slabs have been sand blasted and are complete with 4 center caps and a spare wheel.
Got myself some new brake pads from a local inderpendant vauxhall place, and picked up a fitting kit from halfruads lol
Got to work then, the front calipers as well as rear drums were tidied up using hight temperature satin black paint. I de-burred and skimmed the discs before fitting the new pads and used copper grease to moving parts.
My cambelt kit was then fitted, we checked the timing and then put the aux belt back on temp and she started up nicely .
Onto fixing the intercooler properly then, We trimmed the lugs down on the cooler so it could hook behind the crash bar. My dad the welded some brackets onto the crash bar then drill and fixed the intercooler at the top. The lower mounts will also be used at a later time to make the intercooler rigid.
This is how the intercooler now sits, nice and high from the floor, centered and level . Ive used door rubber trim to put on the upper cut edge of the crash bar so once the bumper is on will look tidy and also if the intercooler was to move/shake would stop chaffering. Will do the same on the cut angles when i find some more triming lol.
Will be doing the lower mountings next so its nice and secure.

Bit more progress to show today people.
Been preping my front wing ready for paint,
Next i finally got the lower intercooler mounts finished. The cooler is in the perfect position and secure as it cud be now
Then was time to cut the front bumper around the cooler. This took alot of time, cutting a bit at a time then offering the bumper back up and so on. Really happy with how its ended up thow . Prob gona get a sticker numberplate or square 1 to the side so its still legal but the cooler gets maximum cool air
Thats about it for now. Cheers.

A nice update this time then lads
Painted my front and rear bumper aswell as the wing. Left in the sun to bake .
Also painted my Cav slabs and center caps, did these in vw satin silver. Plenty of laquer
Once all the panels had gone off it was time to get building the corsa up the way it should look. Firstly the rear bumper was fitted. Then the rear arch trims fitted after. The arch trims were all fixed using the correct fixings, i didnt want to use silicone as it would hold water therefore being more likely to rust faster
Then my favorite new part, the crystal rear lights were fitted . The rear of the car now looked great, here couple of piks of that.
So onto the front. As the intercooler was to be on show i thought id tidy it up a bit before fitting the bumper. The same silver as my wheels was used to brighten up the fins, while i used meguires metal polish to shine up the 2 end caps.
Fitted the headlights and the front wing, sorry about the poor pik.
Then finally the front bumper was built back up with the splitter, Lower modified to fit grils and badgless grill. This was then fitted to the car giving the final look
Thats where i got to for now. The car is looking much more complete now and im so happy with it. Will be finishing the front arch trims and inner arches soon.
Thanks for looking

Update time againg
Fitted the front arch trims, again using the proper fixings
Then the innerarch trims went in. (If you can work out they've been painted gloss black before i brought them, so i just left them like that)
Now were really getting sumwhere it was time to do the oil and filter.
At this point i decided to get the car back on the ground so i could take it our of the garage to give it a good clean (when i get time). So i slapped it on a set of my dads mk 1 golf steelies that have been painted white and have a nice set of track advans on them . Il perhaps use these for a trip to the pod maybe or a bit of track action, but we'll see about that
Then out the garage she came .
Heres some more piks i took before ive had chance to clean it, Sat quite nicely as i didnt set the height up on the coil's. Think it looks proper track slag with them white steelies and tires lol.
OH and i took it for a quick blast to and loved it .
Not much more to do now before il get her on the road properly

It's mad how much you can change a car if you do it right....from (no ffence to previous owner) a chavved up turbo to a sensible wel presented corsa turbo.make sure you bring it around the tamworth area sometime, there is only a nova turbo round here and 2 corsa xe's
