I've been on them a couple times before as I had really bad skin and it cleared it up. I wouldn't go on them regularly and folk that do always, without fail, resemble an 80 year old with orange peel skin by the time they are 40.

Normal people die too, infact it's the people dying of nothing that are screwed.

Just put yourself under a UV lamp from B&Q for a while a day and you will be awesome.

Smoking - I challenge you to find someone with a positive effect of smoking.
Drinking - Costs and makes me feel like crap, but I understand why people do it and I'm not against it. It is also proven in moderation to be a benefit.
Bad diet - You have to eat, it's a necessary evil and not a choice. The choice is in how you eat.
In my opinion people can do as they seem fit. I'm not a negative person but just choose not to abuse my body if I can help it. I get exzyma (sp?) and it is always benefit when I have a tan, I don't go on a sun bed though because I would rather have exzyma than skin cancer. I know I could get it from the sun, it's all an odds game

if you use them for 20 minutes a week, they are actually beneficial to your health as the only place you get vitamin D from is uv light. so twice a week for 10 mins would keep you healthy and improve your complexion.

dizzy purrrrlease.
The benefit of getting the vit D is far outweighed by the increases in chances of getting skin cancer.

I genuinely don't understand how people still take your advice seriously
The uv lamps used in medicine, far less than 2 ten minute goes per week btw, may be benificial to those with skin conditions or vitamin D deficincies but going to a tanning salon and radiating your skin 20 minutes every week is not purely beneficial and in fact the salons themselves recommend far less than that

Was told it by a doctor when i had bad skin from not getting any sunlight.
How the fuck do white people living in places like spain, egypt etc stay skin cancer free then? Surely the natural sunlight would kill them from cancer and fuck their skin in under a year...

Its because UV lights are mega intensive compared to the sun.

Italians aren't naturally as white as us. Plus they aren't exposing themselves to harsh sun all the time. Their skin naturally builds up a tan as the suns intensity increases as we cycle through the seasons.

The UV rays from a sunbed are totally different from the light you get from the sun, you can't compare the benefits of some proper sunlight to the local money laundering outfit.
