its far from tatty! think youv made the right decision, granted the last corsa was nice but the gsi is far better condition bodywork wise then the corsa IMPO mate, and youv got a great base to make it into a minter, and a car that no1 has round here.

yea, too thin bud. fully synthetic 10w/40 would be okay...but fully synth 0w40 is too thin for the oil pump. its all about what viscosity the engine was designed to pressurise, and for vauxhall engines - 10w/40 or 15w/40 are the ones. Even the new engines are only 5w/30.

how old is it? what engine code is it? And depends on usage really. Yea i'd still say its too thin...depends on power output. In competition or track days, it'd probs be okay as its only getting thrashed every now and again. If he is using it daily, then yea...he's probs best off with 10w40. millers do a fully synth 10w/40, he'd probs be best off wit that!

Okay, i've got some pics at last... took them this morn when i got to work....so not the best location. And it needs a wash too...
Some pics of the work that needs doing...
Rear arches...
And the floor pan that needs welding.
Some pics that i took from last weeks service too.
So there it is...the start of another project. Hoping that for PVS it'll be respectable
Onwards!...

Na i'm likely to just do what paul did last year tbh. Or not be on a stand at all...
Depends on what the weather is doing as well. I am just hoping my second PVS aint a washout too.

okay...a bit outta the blue i know, but i am getting the engine that i intend to be putting in next year once the car is sorted and the motor is all refreshed.
I wont tell you yet...but once i have it, i'll get pics and start getting lil things done on it to get it sorted and ready for mid-next year. 4x4 system going on too.

i'll always remember PVS this year. not only was it my first...but the weather was crap, and on the sunday morning, behind where our stand was on the grass...there was 4 cav turbo 4x4's. They parked up, stayed for about half hour and then left, and as they left...two of them were messin about and did some 3k launches. Considering how bad the surface was...and how everyone was struggling...they didnt, they just fucked off!
It made me want one there and then. If its like that on that surface, then a wet road aint a problem.
Whats wrong with making it 4wd anyways?
