What happens to the rest of the SPL if this were to happen? Looking at the current table Hibs aren't exactly miles behind them

TBH the really fair way to do it would be to move the whole Scottish league down here, put it below our lowest pro league and then allow the teams to mix as and when they get promoted and relegated.

The fairest way is putting rangers and celtic into the ryman league or wherever you have to start and make them work their way up

Once/if Rangers and Celtic move and the money all but drys up from the league they will soon want to move.
If they dont then Id expect half of them to be out of business within a few years.

Yes, quite happily, because its not like we get pennies as it is
Don't try and pass it off as benefiting all the english teams, the only teams that really benefit are rangers and celtic and why do they deserve to?

Nah, I wont go along with that, I think it would benefit the whole of English football as well as majorly benefiting Celtic and Rangers.
Fact is it would add a number of huge matches to the fixture list, and this would not only push TV revenue up but keep the PL as the leading football league in the world.
Spain is coming a close second with the players that have gone there in recent seasons, and if we dont do something we'll start to see foreign TV preferring La Liga and TV revenues going down for us lot.

Agreed with a few mentiosn fo why not just merge English, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish leagues into one system. Woudl be the best way but then FIFA I'm sure will soon be insisting that the national teams do likewise!
I personally want to see them in the Prem for the reaossn Cosmo just mentioned but it has to be fair and not penalise other clubs too much. Agreed also that this proposal is more fo a safeguard for Bolton though IMO

One way to do it would be to keep the lower leagues as they are in each country (i.e. the leagues below our 1st/2nd Div, Div 1 in Scotland, etc.) and then everyone else comes in to an expanded league set up in England.
Teams from each of the country leagues get promotion to the main English league every seasons, and teams get relegated back to the various ones each year - it may take some shifting about should 3 Scottish teams get relegated, etc. but should work.

Maybe instead of running away from the problems the SPL has, they should take a closer look at how to make it more competitive. Without devaluing it by taking away the best two teams, that is.

Its Rangers and Celtic we are talking about here, they are hardly Real Madrid and Barcelona

Its impossible.
To be competitive it needs more money between all clubs so they can attract top name players.
The two biggest forms of revenue are TV Rights and sponsorship - the latter is linked to the first.
The league will never attract the big money TV revenue as its too small a market, Scotland is a relatively small country and its not got a huge following outside of the country.

IMO If they put more matches into the PL all they will end up doing is convincing the top teams to sodd off and start thier european league.
There are enough games at the moment. We don't need any more.

Are you having a laugh?
The likes of Celtic vs United or Liverpool, Rangers vs Chelsea, etc. would attract huge numbers of viewers all over the world.

Sounds like a good plan, eahc country keeps its identity + keeps travel costs etc etc down for lower league teams but the big lure of an all British top league

Yeah, thats my take on it.
The lower leagues then all still have something to aim for so all is not lost should their big teams get promoted.
