Yeah, me and kurt did pretty the same to ours.

Nova sr cams,
1.4 injector iirc
1.6/1.8 throttle body
Derestricted+drilled air box
panel filter
421 manifold, decat + exhaust system

gives it a bit more poke but not really worth doing imo.
