Highly doubt both, even one coming tbh. If Fergie doesn't sign a prolific goal scorer in Jan we are in major trouble.

Yes, alla us and £35m for Alonso.
Sorry, how much?
There's a pattern emerging.
You seem to sell players for more than reported.
But buy players for less than reported.
Hmmmmm.
Approx £31-32m upfront payment (depends what the agreed euro/pound rate was) and then approx £3-4m depending on targets being reached, again depending what the euro/pound rate was/is.

I think it is highly unlikely we will get either villa or silva tbh
But if we don't sign a prolific goalscorer we certainly aren't in serious trouble
Now liverpool on the other hand are in trouble

"serious" trouble was the wrong thing to say. Not as if we are anything like Liverpool atm .
Serious in the sense that we really need to be scoring more goals right now.

Heard Silva was in talks to go to Barca in Jan, he wont come to England unless you pay him silly wages so his take home is big enough, or if you pay him in some dodgy way through a company in Spain so he pays little tax (the reason he didnt join us as we wouldnt).
And we are in trouble. Apparently no money for Jan (as the Yanks have to pay yet another £60m off the loan amount so that'll be £120m off it since summer), and we may sell off 'fringe' players so we can afford to give Reina a raise and extend his contract.

Christ not good.
At least we aren't in a desperate position and are still winning matches. Wont deny it would be good to have more goals.

Liverfools squad is weak enough without selling more fringe players tbh
I wonder if gerrard or torres get fed up in a year or two and decide to move on from the sinking ship

Its fucking shocking tbh.
In a way a god awful season where we are pushed all the way for 4th position (but get it on the last game) could be the best thing for the club. As the yanks need the CL qualification money, so if it looks like we wont get it they'll shit themselves and sell up quick sharp. Id rather it not happen though.

Gerrard and Torres are both on long contracts, so we'd have to sell and both would demand big amounts. I cant see Gerrard going anywhere now tbh, other than a swan song for a year or so somewhere abroad after he 'retires' from us.
We'll of been sold long before either are sold though.

Gerrard and Torres won't leave anytime soon.
I'd be surprised if you don't finish 4th, just like I'd be surprised if you didn't qualify for the CL knockout stages.
Would love to see you miss out on both though!

We will easily finish 4th, I actually think we will be at least 3rd tbh.
Im not so sure about CL knockout though, Fiorentina only need a win at home to go through against a team already through - so doesnt look good imo.

Don't get me wrong, as you would expect I'd <Keegan mode>love it<Keegan mode> if you didn't qualify but you've been so spawny these last few years in Europe I can see results going your way!

Im not saying you are, but I love the way Spurs have a great result and all of a sudden they are world beaters.
Cant remember who it was, but some ex-pro was saying they'd be the ones pushing Chelsea this year

We have had plenty of good results this season.
I like the way a Liverpool gets a draw and all of a sudden they are going to finish in the top 4

I said it even when we lost.
A similar example would be when we get beat we're suddenly going down.

No chance of torres or gerrard going anywhere, torres is nearly as scouse as stevie is now
The quicker our owners situation is sorted the better, but there's no sign either of them want to sell, I think they are going to drain the club for all it's worth to pay off there loans then try and sell for a massive profit, hopefully they will realise that we are worth far more as a good footballing side.
We will finish fourth, there's alot of football left to play and we've had the worst luck for a long time so far, which has got to change soon!

Most likely sell him and Nani then put it in the bank alongside the Ronaldo money instead of spending it

Was hilarious listening to Gary Mabbutt saying how the top 3 teams would be lookign voer their shoulder and fearing Spurs... the same SPurs that all 3 above them beat comfortably
Pre-contratc with Chamakh but that about it, would have expected him to be signed for a few million but as they have reached the knockout stages then thye would make more by keepign him and losing him for free than by selling him for a nominal fee tbh

The cunt is really starting to piss me off now. He has bags of talent, and will show it briefly in games, but other than that he has shown fuck all and doesnt deserve more time in the team than he is getting.
