agreed with the knives.but defending your own property is something anyone would do. seems a fucking disgrace that the gutless piece of shit could sue you for assault in your own home

All depends on circumstances. But tbh you would more than likely be fucked.
Tbh if I had a gun...unless it was literally life or death situation I wouldn't even pick it up.

The gun would be your last hope after you pulled a police warrant card out, especially when they found out you do it gratis.
I just find not living in the ghetto helps

Use to have an axe behind the bed, but don't bother anymore as you're likely to end up inside for a few years even if it was self denfence.

if you had it for protection... nope....
same goes with most weapons, if you happen to pick up say a baseball bat from your sports equipment closet you should be ok..
if theres a baseball bat under your bed and you have it there for protection, youll most likely get done

With bats, it best to keep a few balls around otherwise you'll get done for using it as a weapon. Likewise with golf clubs.
To be honest, you have to be pretty careful what you have around for self defence - can't have blades larger than 3" (and must fold) unless you're have a legitimate reason (chef, butcher etc), have to have a license for airsoft guns that use CO2 (from what i remember they changed the law in 2004 about this) etc.
As with licensed shotguns/rifles, the Tony Martin case tells you exactly what will happen if you got caught firing a gun at an intruder/burglar.
