Yes? Not by lottery winning standards but in general 7 grand's a good wad to me anyway.
edit, I was pretty much just making the point that in the time it took to make this thread he could have phoned the bank and found out for certain.

Depends what size the bank is, if its just a local rural type bank then they probably wont have the 7k out the front to give you and ask to be called ahead so they can make sure they have it out.
Larger banks will probably have that sort of cash knocking about behind the counters.

In my experience you need to call ahead as the safes are on a time delay. this is to prevent armed robbers coming in and being out after two minutes. I've been in for big amounts and had to wait ages for the safe. The counter girl said they keep hundreds of thousands in the safe
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Was it a big bank?
As 9/10 banks wont keep anything like that sort of money in the safe.

To do list.
1. Alliance and leicester in Liverpool City centre.
2. Create new thread on CS to tell everyone about an EXPENSIVE jacket I've just bought.

Remember to call ahead so the safe will be open when you get there

City Centre branch so will hold a fair amount.
I worked at Loomis for a while which had contracts with a few banks and we used to get their cash every night from that day and knew what each branch held and was going to be delivered the next day - I could been useful to some bank robbers!
Saying that, if they had any sense they'd of hit the Loomis processing bank. Held much much more cash than 99% of banks out there and had less security.

i have just done this!!
i took out 6.4k this week went in monday, the money was ready by wed afternoon, so yeah give them notice i said i wanted mine all in £50's they run out so some were in £20 notes
they then take you into a private room away from the plebs at the counters and count it out in front of you! NICE!
thinking about this week i have spent just over 7k this week in 2 days
& its xmas soon as well lol!

I once withdrew £2k (not much) but they gimme it right away.
but thinking about this...is there not some massive security flaw? for example:
-ring the bank and tell them you're going to withdraw £20k
-go to bank
-steal £20k + the rest of money in cashier's tills.
???
