Why? The Saxo won Although the Scania is 1,000,000,000x cooler.

I was told a few years ago the biggest engine you could fit in a Saxo was a 1.6 as the engine bay wasn't tall enough to take anything bigger.

As for the OP, Saxo's pedals are close together and if you have big feet it can be awkward to drive, they have also replaced the Nova as the ultimate charva car, your street cred will sharp vanish driving a sackso.

A mate of mine has recently bought a VTS, and to be honest, I do slate it as its french but, its actually quite fast, its a MK2, I have no idea what bhp it is or anything about it, but it is quite nippy, pulls like a train to 100.

Im sorry, but bull shit to the claims a corsa without a 20XE or throttle boddied X16XE beat a VTR, never mind a VTS. A corsa is far more reliable/comfortable, but no where near as good speed/handling wise.

Many a 106/VTS have had a 2.0 GTi6 engine

Isn't there a 135 bhp MK2 Saxo? My mate claims his is about 130 but he doesn't know for sure, either way he likes it and is happy with it.

Chris, lol, I'm going to annihilate it in my 1.6 without TB's and also that Rallye I mentioned.

VTS isnt 135bhp, 125 iirc? Newer ones are meant to be more.

Standard V standard, no corsa B will beat a VTS, they are simply too powerfull, and less weight. VTR is just slightly less power than a 1.6 sport, but lighter. Good race though.

Standard 106 XSI is faster than a 1.6 sport though, even lighter than a VTR

16v XSI is faster than any corsa, aside from the turbo verietys

When you put it like that it makes alot more sense, most powerful Corsa B is obviously the GSi with 109 bhp, VTS with 125 or what ever they may be + being lighter in the first place, obvious winner is VTS.

I'd be inclined to disagree with that Chris. Against a 20XE it would be neck and neck up til 100ish, then the Corsa will steadily pull away.

Even the VTR had 105 bhp or around that, but it weighs less, its all with the driver. Id take a GSI over a VTR though, as I really dont like saxos, dont like the look of them at all. Only reason I had one was for the engine for my XSI (VTS)

Depends on the gearbox used on the 106, 1.3 rallye box the 106 will be limting at 120odd, corsa will keep going till F20 limiter, idicated 149mph, think actual is 135odd?

The Corsa has an indicated 120 in 4th But I'm running an F16cr, even though there's not much difference in ratio's, I still stand by what I say about 100+ the Corsa will be off.
