you can easily pick up a bog standard corsa. take a trip to the scrappies and get some sport seats for cheap and the sport spoiler if it doesnt have one. change the wheels to some vauxhall ones and lower it. if you are lucky you may find a set of depos that you can easily take apart and smoke them yourself.

i regretted getting my 1.0. thought it would be cheap on petrol and reliable etc but was the opposite. thankfully sold it now. Plus ICV, ecu's are a bugga on them and if the timing chain ever needs to be replaced then thats mega bucks.
+ didnt find insurance that cheap with them. i swapped it for a 1.6 Golf and only paying £40 more

This is true, plus I'd rather make my own mark on the car than buy already modified.. still interested in Dave's though. Very nice car..

Buy dave's tbh best paintwork on here
Replied mate
My car seems to have done quite well avoiding the normal problems, there's the tiniest bit of bubbling under the bonnet lip, rear wiper is perfect but one of the doors has a tiny bit of rust next to the b-pillar. Replaced the AFM myself less than a month ago, sills are fine as was the spare wheel well the last time I looked.
I meant to say all this in the u2u but forgot It does have its imperfections though but nothing that can't be fixed.

My 12volt went ok tbh lol, and it looked the part too. Always got people trying to race you thinking it was a sport or something.
Had 121,000 miles when I sold it on, still ran sweet, original engine. Lad who bought it off me sold it on 132,000 and it still ran perfect. Just the chain rattled
Thats the only thing with 12vs and 1.2s, the cam chain does my head in when they tick!

1.2 8v arent that economical either apparently.
because you HAVE to rag them for it to be safe ! otherwise at a set of lights/junction etc you would be a danger to everyone else on the road. As they take forever to get to 60 your foot is almost always on the floor = shit economy
1.0 12v isn't as bad from experience

perfectly right, my foot is always planted just to keep up with day to day traffic, and trying to get to a decent speed to change gear on a hill sounds like your ragging the tits off it, but really your just trying not keep going forward haha
and don't really know why i call them 'course' tbh, your right it is just what i call a corsa, just somehting a mate said i think taking the piss, and its stuck
