We stopped in one called cocoon recently that was cheap. Liverpool doesn't really have cheap accomadation though i've found not like the other cities that have etaps and what not.
Also are you like American? If not GTF with the over usage of 'like'.

yeah etap is £17.50 on off peak times like feb.

We stayed in a serviced apartment when down for the National early in the year, think it worked out about £35 each per night and slep 6-8
