my dad used to allways wonder why his old cavy had higher milage and less feul ended up finiding out that i had been pinching it everynight without fail and doing 40+miles in it then taking it back

never heard anything like it in my life.

especially not from a new ford anyway. maybe she tried to get it clocked back and got it wrong

Either way, I doubt there will be anything you can do to remedy it. If ford don't know the correct mileage they won't just guess an clock it back for you.
