Ste they aint that bad, its that people cant drive them and have them that low they spit the diffs out and wheelspining, pointless
And besides GTI box very simular in ratio to 1.1 box £60 and fitted in the hour

s2 rallye box is the same as a s1 1.6 xsi, good ratios but touch longer than gti box
s1 rallye box are good but not enough top end imo the best all rounder is the 1.4 xsi box

Got a S2 rallye box on mine with a 1.4 xsi final drive and quaife
Great ratios for hooning around on track and down lanes but a pain in the arse for racking up miles in
Booked in for a rebuild anyway at atspeed soon so will get a vts final drive put in there
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

S2 Rallye is prob the best compromise. GTI and VTS boxes are too long and fall out the powerband. S1 boxes are the best imo, will top out around 125 but youll never hit it anyway.

I prefer the longer ratios in one way
even my S2 felt like I was changing gear alot more then I needed as the engine feels quick torqy low down. I topped mine out a bedford at 120ish so the 1.4 FD must be the same as the one in the S1 box
Drives supercharged Tec with torque
