Speech is a good one actually, I remember I had good speech and had to convince the people in tenpenny tower to let in the ghouls. It was no problem at all but my mate who had less speech points couldnt do it

I lasted 3 hours on this game before being bored out of my mind, went to the high school before Megaton, killed everyone in there, had no ammo left, and it was dark when I got to Megaton, stumbled around there for ages, couldn't sleep in any beds, spoke to a few people, got bored. Not played it again, and will be giving it back to my mate when he's back from his hols.
I haven't got the patience for it

After you've defused the bomb apparently. It was dark so I had a stroll around and wanted a choice instead of just defusing the bomb straight away.
But I'm bored of it now anyway, got the internet back so back on COD and bought Godfather2 the other day, so will give that a go

Yeah, you had to defuse. If you spoke to Burke and set off you got a penthouse suite instead.

Woop - Level 11 now.
Did Here & Now and got the Nerd Rage perk too. Speech up to 70, Lock Pick to 55 and Science and Medicine in the 50's too.
My Metal Armour is a bit naff, so just bought some Recon Armour, DR level 15. Should protect me a bit better.

Metal Armour repaired to DR28 and Recon Armour up to DR18.
Best armour I have at my dispoasl ath the moment. All the Raider, Talon etc armour is no way near as resistant.
Just read that had I killed Harold by the heart instead of flaming him I would have got a 40DR armour

Level 12 now gone for Rad Resistance, was going to go for Life Giver but the wiki says its a bit pointless as you get free stimpacks when you trade technology, which I've being doing.
Done Following In His Footsteps which was so much easier this time around, mainly because I understand the map more too. V.A.T.S seems easier and more accurate, not sure if its down to the way I've levelled up?
Never realised how much more XP you get when fighting in V.A.T.S too.
Now doing Scientific Pursuits (skipped GNR through a speech check)

Level 13  Mysterious Stranger perk aquired.
Just realised as I blew Megaton up I havn't done the Wasteland Survival Guide this time. Read I can go to the Musuem of History and Moira is in the Underworld and I can still do it. Just need to find the place 
I'm further on in the game now than in my first play yet I'm 2 levels behind!

Has anyone ever been down into the bottom of the ammo place.. bit vague i know but i havent been on it for ages..
Its like an ammo facility with loads of raiders and occasionally the power suit guys stroll through and kill them..
Anyways there a reactive building with a staircase down.. i only got so far before having to flee due to rad poisoning
anything down there?

Bit of progress this morning.
Found Vault 106 and 108 and a B&B 
Went back to Rivet City and accepted the Stealing Independance quest and accepted GNR off Three Dog - Luckily they're both in the same area! Found The Mall and the Museum of Technology, plus I can find the Underworld in the Museum of History now and do Wasteland Survival Guide too.
So I have about 5 quests on the go now and halfway through Level 13. Soon to get my Harbringer of War achievement.
Also had 2 Mysterious Stranger visits - Pretty cool guy

bought this game off the back off this thread the other day, started playing it yesterday.
Just got to Megaton and picked a fight with the Sheriff after trying to nick his hat bad move!!
Anything tips early stages?

Do you want to be good or bad?
If you picked a fight with the Sheriff he will probably be hostile towards you which means all the other residents will be hostile too.
You need to make a choice when you get to Megaton whether you want to start out good or bad - You can change your stance throughout the game.
You may want to go to another save or start again if you attacked the Sheriff as you need to be in Megaton to start the game off.
As for tips - Pick up all ammo etc that you can, and anything else you see lying around. It can be sold to traders you come across. Levelling up you get to pick perks and can give the charactor better skills. Lock pick is a good one as is speech.

i picked a fight and got killed both times, he rstarted from the lat save, so i guess when i retart i have that choice to make

Yeah, just be careful as you're only Level 1 at the moment! I'm Level 14 and still find some enemies dificult!
