That car isnt far from me at all, 2 miles up the road... ill have a gander tomorrow and see if its a genuine gsi or not. although the badges are in the wrong place so would lead me to think its an early sport with gsi conversion.

the 1.6 sports didnt come out until 97, and this car is older than that

Could have put a 1600 engine in it too.

It could well be an irish gsi, but it has date of first reg - and usually it will have date of import instead
