As said, spend time with mates. Take up a hobby. Gym or something. Fill in for the part thats missing with something new. It sucks, but there is ALWAYS light at the end of the tunnel.
Or go out and fuck the town.

Go and show some females attention then, if shes moved on then you should as well, yeh its hard to think shes sleeping with some one else. but im sure if you go out and meet people you will soon find some one

This is the issue, look at other women, chat them up, try get laid, get rejected, you will soon forget about her.

relationships suck I'm doubtful of finding anyone right for me! Not wasting my time thinking about relationships that didnt work out anymore, just taking my mind off it with the horses or at the gym

Yeah? Me and the 'love of my life' broke up over five years ago and I still think about her every day. I have even fallen in love since but no one compares to her [/emo]

thats more to do with with you not letting her go or not letting go of the memories, must have been a reason why you broke up?
i dont get people i mean theres what 7 billions people in the world, dont understand why people get so hooked on one person, theres millions of other people who would probally be a better match for you, why is she so special after 5 years?

Focus on family and friends and go out and do things you wouldn't have maybe tried before. A holiday is a good call. I've always lived by the rule to never get back with an Ex. If it was ment to be, both parties would have made it work.
When did you get all serious?

Unless you finished them because you thought you wasnt happy. Then, you realise a few weeks down the line you made a mistake and you are miserable without them.
Just like ive done, like a twat. Finished my gf of 3 years. And now 2 weeks later im missing her and think i want her back... but lone behold she met someone else last night. Karma is shit.

No, her excuse was 'you finished me, so what do you expect me to do sit in and cry and not move on'
Just kinda reinforced some of the reasons i split up with her really that she had no respect for me and never considered me in any of her actions.

I was in a relationship for about 6 months, then found a new girl and I've been with her 14 months now.. In this time though, all my mates and I have gone 18. The single ones are always out having a laugh. I hate going out with the missus as we always end up falling out. Winds me up something rotten when you see people oggling her
If I could bring myself to do it, I would end it and have some fun with the lads for a while. But I can't, I'd miss her too much, long term GFs turn into a best friend too. I'm always with her and I think I'd be lost without her now.
My advice is to forget about her. You split for a reason. Go out on the lash every weekend with the lads for a while and show her she's history.
Worst thing you could do is let her know you're hurting while she's happy with this new guy. And don't go into another relationship yet!
