I feel your pain, mine has an 80L tank

why would anyone ever want to put 80 litres into a tank? imagine the extra weight of that. will affect your mpg quite a bit i reckon.

deano will know exactly.

steve, i reckon you can do it in 1.5 tanks, maybe 2 with a bit of spirited driving.

everyone knows when you're on an economy run, you always get some tit on the motorway sitting on your arse begging for a race.

My Punto is a lot worse on fuel. About 320 to £45.

But I reckon with a lot of motorway cruising that VXR8 should only do 2 tanks maximum. Not like you can be on full attack all the time and even sitting at 80mph - 90mph won't use too much fuel.

Seth me ol monster... yeah they can idle at 1.5k and be doing 60mph which certainly helps with the MPG lol

its got cruise control so i think im just gonna stick that on at 65mph and sit on the inside lane all the way up the M1

Don't do it unless you have to - it'll drive you mental. Just sit at a steady 70mph - you shouldn't go any faster anyway

Ah it will be good to get a chance to stretch her legs.

I often take my car the 300 or so miles to Aberdeen if I need to go throughfor work activities, & I only get 20p a mile for using my car.

Fuckit, it beats taking the train

yeah but ask anyone, i barely touch it in normal circumstances only work 3 miles from home and its barely warm by the time i get there and back each day.

lee would be the better person to ask because he used to drive his like a complete tool the lowest guesstimate i've had couldn't have been much lower than 20mpg. and even that was partly lee's fault

Oh right fair enough I don't use mine for work so it's only used for pleasure which I think is part of the massive fuel consumption issue, driving a Berlingo van all week means when I get in it the speed amazes me everytime

Booting it through the whole rev range gets a consistent 7mpg in every gear
