Owning your own home is much better than having a nice car

I hardly miss the focus aswell tbh, was nice to have for some fun but i prefer a house myself.

yeah if we had found this house a few months back we'd of saved a lot more on the purchase price and wouldn't have had to pay stamp duty, but then we didn't have as much savings as we do now

ah well.

went to the solicitors yesterday and handed over £300 of my cash, still need to pay them £2700 when they complete their work

so cheap i'll buy 2

currently looking at sofa's and fridges.

thinking of going for a corner sofa and a 2 seater. we sat on these in the same colour scheme in our local dfs and they are so comfy and look great, although we're going to go for a dark brown all over as have heard horror stories involving light colours and colour coming off jeans.

You don't have to do the buy now, pay later. We managed to get them to knock 5% off by paying cash

good news is that i don't need to pay £1760 stamp duty so solicitors fee's only come to £1300 bargain.

That's good that you don't have to pay the stamp fee! Paying ours was like getting a kick in the nuts
