I think Newcastle should do OK next season, probably marginally better than the likes of Stoke/Blackburn type teams but not up with the likes of Fulham.

The only thing that needs a mention of how utterly dogshit the SPL is, Celtics former striker - Chris Killen, Oldham Athletic reject.

He was shit at Oldham. He rarely got a game when the first team was fit, he was a back up player in League 1.

A guy I used to work with who used to go and watch City reserves was raving about him when we signed him. I went to watch him expecting the World but he had the touch of a rapist, the shot of Tony Adams, the vision of David Blunkett and the skill of Cosmo. He was crap.

It just shows you can play for a huge team like Celtic as being a big fish in a small pond is a piece of piss.

Both teams as they are now would be bottom half at best.

Given a few years though and with the money you would get from being in England you could buy some better players and do alright.

Never going to happen though.

finally someone who see's what would happen!

but we will never be in the epl

We should beat Peterborough at the weekend! But then we are nailed on promoted if Bristol help us out. But tbh we only need 6 more points for automatic promotion!

I hope bristol dont win, they are playing my team Forest and im going. Shame we cant now win away so newcastle should go up saturday!

It was inevitable that Newcaslte were going to bounce back upto the premiership- although they lost some key players, alot stayed- im glad they have played carroll as he looked promising last season.

Cant see Ashley spending money though- best thing for newcastle is to find a new investor.

As far as the other teams going up- i'm not sure about forest beating Bristol City- they have done quite well recently- beat west brom at home, drew with newcastle.

Im off to the welsh derby on the weekend- hopefully cardiff can secure a playoff place, despite the injured squad.

Ashley has already said he'll invest where necessary but will implement a salary cap. That's exactly what's needed IMO. Not going back to massive investment in the squad on players like Boumsong and Owen

As for the City vs Forest game. City have been on a bit of a run after Johnson left as most teams do under a new manager. I fully expect that to end on saturday

I think Forest will miss out on promotion this season with either Swansea or Leicester getting it.

He's playing and scoring in the Championship this season and didn't play at all for us, what's your point caller?

I think we'll win the league now. Great goal from Nolan tonight.

As nic said, its going to be lame not being on the TV as much next season but oh well.

Will be interesting to see who we bring in next season to strengthen the team.

They were saying on SSN that we were favs to get relegated this season at the start Thank fuck we sorted things out

I know, thats what we said last night. But I can see Forest fucking up. I still think it will be the welsh side although i think Leicester could do it.

Looking at the odds for Newcastle next season

7/2 to get relegated
40/1 to finish top 4
2000/1 to win the PL

I've kind of had a soft spot for Newcastle and the stadium since I saw United play them in 2007.

Not really that fussed about the team, but they should be in PL.

So an English league containing English cities and towns isn't really an English league?

Ok Mackem.
