My old boss had a few including a 23 window samba (the holy grail).

He sold that for about 13k a gd few years ago but now it would be worth around £35k, kinda regrets that one.

But i have found a orange one in ur budget

They are sodding awesome.

That one posted on the first page is lovely.

I am not speaking from experience here, just from people who have said that fitting Porsche /Subarus engines into Beetles isn't a 'drop in' like people claim, so I would say it is fair to assume the same applies to a similar aged VW!
