Are they restricted? And would that restriction hamper it getting to it's restricted top speed?

CSL's are absolutley awesome, anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong
Had a play in one out at the ring and it felt as lithe as an E30 M3, plus with a lot more straight line speed obviously. The sound is something else too, and the thump when changing gear at the most ferocious shift speeds is addictive. Felt great when pushed past it's limits too, nice and easy to control.

Graham, what bike were you on? Cos even 400bhp in a car as heavy as a CSL doesn't make for massive straight line pace (in bike terms!)

I was on a Kawasaki Ninja 636. I thought that too, but we went flying up a slip road and he just kept pulling on me, I was in shock!

I was thinking the same. A 636 will have at least 300bhp per tonne on a CSL so god knows how he got away from you!

Bikes don't have alot of top end power though so once we were past the point of where bikes are better the power and aerodynamics kicked in I suppose

And the CSL would be 299bhp/ton (using 415bhp) Apparently a 636 can do a quarter in the 10's whereas I'd imagine the CSL would be 12's

Sounds like they were already rolling though. So it's possible for sure. From a standing start the bike would fly away.

tbf i think we should take grahams word for it. If someone who rides something as fast as the kwak, and turns aound and said the m3 was quicker, it must be quicker

I was about to post saying no way would the 636 do 10 second quarters but going by my google results apparently it does, fuck me that's fast

Yea already rolling so going on what I said the bikes main point (acceleration) had mostly gone so once torque and acceleration come into play the CSL took over.

I wish the bloke still had it as I'm sure he'd be up for getting some videos. And I'm not racing his new car, mentally fast Escos
