My boss at work is about 55 and he drives a Mitsubishi Evo 5 which he's only had a year.
He drives it very fast but very safely.
He's also got a 205 GTI that he does rallying in. That little thing would spank the hell out of most corsas.

It is true though

They usually do drive at such a low speed it becomes dangerous.

See the fools on the motorway in the outside lane @ 40mph.

Its stupid!

I have a powerfull car and I don't see the need to prove it to everyone.
It also would cost me a fortune in fuel if I drove it like my old VTS all the time.
So I tend to drive around at 1500-2500rpm.
I don't drive below the speed limit though.

Tonight I was driving along at 30mph in a 30 zone doing about 1500rpm when a tosser in a white Nova fucks it past me hitting the limiter and nearly into oncoming traffic.

He had something to prove....I don't.

I donl;t give a fuck. I bought a GT to have a turbo. poor MPG goes with the car. the more power you produce the fuel you use.

i think its kinda cool for old peeps to have hi performace cars. even when we're in our slippers we're probably still want to "enjoy" our drive and get a performance car. if you can afford the fuel eco, and insurance and car why the hell not get a fast car??

just cos you see them drive slow, it don't mean they drive like that all the time.

there are times when i like to cruise down a 30mph road at 15mph late nite, (as long as i don't hold anyone up)

That's what I though till I burned through £20 worth of Optimax in 48 miles!!

Kind of makes 1500rpm quite appealing...

my step dad used to rag his BMW 740 and 745 about town, bloody rapid too. He used the ferrari every couple of weeks and didnt need to thrash it. Constantly caning a car doesnt do it much good, and you dont wanna fcuk up a £120000 car cos you wanted to put your foot down!
