ANY car is fast untill you get used to it. in the grand scheme of this a 1.4 is not fast but it will be fast to you mate. Good little cars anyway, i never had a problem with mine and it was 100k+

My 1.4 with powerbox, 4-1 manifold, standard cat, powerflow cat back straight through to 3" round back box, and a pipercross induction kit is quite quick I would say. But it would be slow to some people, depends what you are used to. It's quick for an 18 year old anyway with not much experience in power lol.
Can't believe how greedy she is now I have fit the powerbox though!

When i first got mine i thought it was quite quick and that was going from a 1.6 16v ford escort, the corsa just seemed and felt faster, its all standard btw.
But now ive had it about 7-8months im bored of it and it feels very slow now im used to it

10 pages.
Your pretty much standard 1.4 kept up with a 1.6 with a power box and full exhaust?
Hey mate,
I can confirm that we did have a couple of races and there wasn't much in it tbh... mine had:
- Pipercross induction
- Flame inlet
- Piper Decat
- Vsport (Cobra) Catback
Went rather well I thought probably more like 110-115bhp..
My bro's had:
-Pipercross induction
- decat
- aftermarket b pipe (middle pipe)
- Sebring back box
When we raced there was about 2 car lengths in it tops (from 50 onwards)... and then after that mine would pull away (but we aren't talking majorly).
Don't forget mine had PAS and Aircon adding a few kgs... oh and me @ 100kgs we are talking a difference of 20bhp tops and his car would have been slightly lighter...

It just annoys me how people think their car would keep up with a lighter, bigger CC'd car

no it had a bmc, decat/4branch and a full stainless and was rr`d at 98.5 bhp or something, so a sport which had about 105 bhp when it left the factory, then 80000 miles later...... i think its quite feasable...... so shut the fuck up mate

Had a 1.6 sport and a 1.4 sport in the last few months and the 1.6 has shit load more power but the 1.4 isnt far off and some maybe faster then a dog of a 1.6 but find a healthy 1.6 and a standard 1.4 and the 1.6 will win...
