Think the furthest I've done is just shy of 40 miles each way for 2 years. And that was a pain in the arse.

5 miles each way is a pita when you've been working all day tbh.

To be fair, when you're seeing someone whose further away and you don't get to see all the time; you don't argue or fall out as much, as for the little time you get together, you want to enjoy and look forward to.
If you see someone every day, it can get monotonous and you're more likely to annoy one another

I have lived with Donna for 4 years. Prior to that we saw each other every single day for about 5 years.
I'd say in the last couple of years, we've have 3-4 arguments.
Depends on the person you've met tbh. Don't think distance has anything to do with it. If you can't hack being with someone a lot of the time, how on earth will you cope if your married and in each others pockets?

Donna is on my wavelength.
Not many other people in the world are.
We are a pair.
I don't argue, I debate. Difference is you can't see how the words are being expressed so presume its an argument.
Its just me debating things whilst I waste time at work. If I had some decent work to do you'd never see me

Oh, and whilst we don't have hardly any arguements.
When we do, take cover, as its complete war 2 people who will not back down

I wasn't digging at you Mike you silly boy! I've make the same silly mistake! I think everyone does at some point in their life, getting their willy wet is more important than going out with the lads etc. You need to learn a balance, and I will with my next girlf, even if she does life a few miles away
I used to spend ALL weekend with my ex. missus, found out I was missing out on friends and family, I've had more fun in the past 6 months without her than I had with her in 3.5 years.

I had an ex that for part of the relationship involved a 7600 mile round trip to see each other

Is it me, or am I failing to see pow's point, this is a debate about conducting a relationship over a distance, pows argument is about seeing someone and it eating into your personal time.
But if the person is closer then you are likely to spend more time with them not less

I drove to Essex to see a lass a few times, it was about 260 miles there and 285 back not including wrong turns.
