I agree mate, I crashed, I put my hands up, move on.
I would have thought in this situation for such a big company it would be bad publicity if you were argue it in court, I had to basically threaten McDonalds with further action after one of their spotty employees knocked my bike over with a food trolley. 2 months of trailing and being nice got me nowhere, one abrupt to the point conversation with the manager of the store and it was finished next day.
Sometimes you can't be nice!

Bus was ahead was indiacting, ther 2 cars went round it, and he was sititng there for a good while before they reached him. I then went round it, all of a sudden he pulled off, and caught the side of me, (I had to do an emergency stop)

Unless he was indicating left that's your fault.

If the bus was at the side of the road & pulled into moving traffic then it was the bus drivers fault surely!?
The Highway Code General rules (159-161)159
Before moving off you should
use all mirrors to check the road is clear
look round to check the blind spots (the areas you are unable to see in the mirrors)
signal if necessary before moving out
look round for a final check
Move off only when it is safe to do so.
Im sure if he done the above the impact wouldnt have happened. Unless that wasnt the series of events

How far up the bus did he hit you? Near the front you may have a case...near the back you wont. In the middle possibly 50/50.
Simples.

Highway code also says let buses out.
If the bus was indicating right to get out it'll be 50/50 at best imo.

Ive had a quick look all I can see regarding passing buses is:
Pedestrians
205
There is a risk of pedestrians, especially children, stepping unexpectedly into the road. You should drive with the safety of children in mind at a speed suitable for the conditions.
206
Drive carefully and slowly when
driving past bus and tram stops; pedestrians may emerge suddenly into the road

You do not have to give way to a bus, I checked this instantly. Also it hit me at the front. He was indicating to pull out, but he had been for ages and 2 cars had already have enough waiting and gone past, was nobody being me for ages! so if a bus is indiacting your supposed to sit there all day and wait? No.

Just because he is indicating doesnt mean you let him out, if a car is waiting at a junction you dont stop and let them out do you?
Or if a car is in a lay by you dont stop to let them out either.
Yes you will let people out if your in traffic and have slowed down due to someone pulling into that junction, but never when your just driving down the road

I would have thought the stopped vehicle would have to give way to the moving vehicle rather than the stopped vehicle having priority over moving traffic

apparently buses are different though you have to give way if they are indicating

Exactly this, I checked asked my dad(who has been mechanic for 35 yers with a bus garage, and uncle who has bee driving them for 20+ years) they both agreed you don't have to give way. As said the stationary vechile should always wait.
EVEN IF it was the law to let them go, he should of checked his mirrors properly anyway

I can see why it could go 50/50. If the bus was indicating to pull out you are correct that it is not a legal requirement to let it out but it is best practice to.
Iirc, when you are on a driving test you would fail if you didn't let a bus out that was indicating before you got to it.

was going to say, it was plastered all over the rear of buses in london that the highway code had changed and you now have to give way to buses

lmao, maybe i should go check with them both again haha , thats abit worrying on their part! That said, I would of been in error normally(luckily I now know) but the sheer fact i had already started overtaking and was near front of the bus, and the fact other cars had gone past him due to him just sitting thre must come into account
