Thats brilliant

When they first introduced the self service tills there was a glitch with phone top-ups, if you topped up and paid with a card it crashed the system and you had to go use a different till, the top up had already gone through but no charge on your card.. I had about £50 of credit out of them for free

Well just been to my local Tesco, and it worked!
Went in first and tried with 3 cartons and a nuts magazine, Sub-total £3.47 Savings from tomatoes £3.54 total to pay -0.07 Walked out without even putting my hand into my pocket! Result!

Dropped that back off at the car and went back with the trolley Picked up one box that had 16 in, straight around to the ale isle, didn't stay long and choose just picked a box of San Miguel Up and headed towards the counter After scanning them all through I had Sub-total of £21.44, total savings from tomatoes £18.88
Total to pay £2.56 Bargain! Then she came over for my ID as I'm only 18 and she stared at it for at least 20 seconds glancing to the screen and back but She just scanned me through and let me go

Sorry for the shit pics but!

I'm really confused as to why you'd want to buy tomatoes though?

You wouldn't. But the tomatoes are effectively free. You can either bin them, as they've cost you nothing, or find something to do with them.

Edit to add. Anyone have some decent recipes for 16kg of chopped tomatoes?
