Few tweeks, bonnet, badges, arches etc.

Both french, neither is more boyracer than the other. Just one model sold with free insurance so theres billions of them, and the other didn't so not so many of them.

Same cars basically.

106 is also one insurance group lower as the performance 0-60 time was tested differently with a payload to make it appear slower

This old top gear states the gear ratios are different, although after having one of each box in mine they felt the same barring the final drives so im not sure if thats true

Thought so ever the part numbers for the internals are the same when I was getting mine rebuilt



As the for the money side when I was looking 10 months ago I found £1200 got me a high milage R/S reg gti

or a later saxo vts


I got mine for £1200 with a good few choice mods like bilstien b8's, gmc manifold etc with new tyres and belts etc
