I dont get why people say there telephone number when answering the phone.............you'd be like, yeah thats the number I just punched in

Also you dont answer your door by confirming your address to the visitor do you!!?

I remember this too I also remember phoning the wrong person and they said the number and there was an awkward silence for some time

My mum (45) does it, my dad doesnt answer the phone and if he does because he never does he doesnt know what to say, so he sort of answers it with 'Hello' in the style of the 'O RLY' Owl Tis funny

i just phoned my mum and asked her why she used to do it. apparently many years ago BT used to tell you to answer the phone in that manner. still cant think why the fuck you would want to though.

My mate called me fromhis house phone a few years back, it came up as 'Phil'. I returned the call thinking it was his mobile as it showed up the same. As soon as someone answered I yelled 'Alright you fucking shit flicker?' Then I got his Mum replying.

They have taken it in good humour but anytime I go round they say 'Alright shit flicker' and they are in their late 50's/early 60's.

i rang oliver crowes mobile once

it was one of those days where he had been ignoring my text messages (a bit like yesterday)

his dad picked it up and i thought it was ollie and i shouted

"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL ARE YOU DOING"

Still happens

It's mainly older people 60+ i work in a hospital and sometimes have to ring patients etc. and some of them answer their phone with their number!

Had a old woman on once and she forgot her number when answering so put the phone down on me
