They can write off the season as a freak. It all hinges on next season I reckon. I can't see anybody leaving this year.

Yeah exactly. Think it'll also depend on how much Rafa is given this summer too - as if Torres and co see him being given a pittance again then they may well just jump ship this summer.

Berbatovs agent said he wasn't leaving Spurs, then last minute he did us a favour.

My point is take everything with a pinch of salt.

Bye bye Fabio, echo what benitez said but he's too injury prone so not worth the risk of tying him to anything more than a 1 year extension.

As for torres staying, brilliant news and confirms what I thought about him as a person we'll probably finish 2nd again next season tbh

Smalling - £10m No experience? Berbatov - £30m? lol. Anderson was close to £30m iirc, Hargraves £20m.... Veron.... £30m

Not saying United have made all bad signings, but you can't compare how much Liverpool have wasted on players to United tbh.

OMFG

Not even read anymore of the thread yet but

tbh, moneywise, United have wasted more. Just on the purchase of Veron and Berbatoss you have us beaten.

The difference between Arsenal, Liverpool and Man United is despite all making mistakes with buying players we still win trophies whereas Arsenal and Liverpool dont

His prices of them are the best bit, fucking miles out with anderson. IIRC

We got back over half of veron, which was a better deal considering he clearly couldnt play in the prem, brilliant footballer, just not in the prem, hargreaves wasn't a bad signing, just unlucky with his injuries, anderson the same

The players we have signed he mentioned above (barring smalling, who i dont know much about) are all fantastic players, a couple who just dont suit united or the PL

Thats because you throw that much money at players you can afford to make those big mistakes as have other big priced players too. Where as both of us cant do that.

We both also have less debt because of this.

Surely thats the fault of Fergie though for buying them.

Half the players you could list as stupid buys by Rafa (Morientes, Dossena, etc.) are all proven internationals but just not suited to the Prem - I dont think thats an excuse though.
