Thats what we all said when it was at this price, I utterly never thought we would see under £1 but then it went to 99.9 then into the 80p's, will be a time to tell the grandsons/daughters in 50 years.

You know what you should do if you don't like paying so much for petrol. Get a bus pass...
Awaits flamers telling me how they have to drive to work....blah blah blah.

Thats what I was thinking. Yet people spend thousands on cars but cry when its coming to fill em up it's a big chaotic cry for mercy.

To be honest, my budget spreadsheet allows for the price to go to £1.40 a litre (Super Unleaded)
I beleive that in about 10 years we will be going on about how we remember the fuel prices used to be (such and such Price) but its going to hit £2 sooner or later

oh i am not complaining about the price it was just something i noticed as i put about 50 a day in works van. I fill my cars up maybe once a month for vectra and twice for corsa. Even if it was 2 quid a litre i would still buy it.

But the cost of filling up is for alot of people like myself a weekly expenditure, I bought and paid for the car once, its not like I keep paying for the car again and its always going up is it

Yeah it's a weekly expenditure. I didn't say you buy a car over and over again. Did I?

No you say people buy cars worth thousands and moan about filling them up which sounds like your saying if you buy an expensive car don't worry about fuel costs?

Basically what I am saying is people spend plenty of cash on a car and don't look into the running costs and bitch when it comes to filling them up. Also, if you can't afford to fill up a car worth thousands, buy a cheaper car and use the money you saved to put the petrol in the cheaper car.

Yep, I agree there, people buy expensive cars as there "Cheap" due to running costs then moan about it.
This is where the increase in fuel costs comes in though, when I bought my car nearly 3 years ago it was under a £1 a litre and cost just over £50 to brim the tank. Now its costing quite a bit more than that, thats why people moan about fuel costs - its constantly costing more money for something that you already own.
