Fitted the black Pazzo short levers:

Racetec's fitted like 3 days ago but already look a bit tired:

It's getting ridden hard and often. Gagging for a Power Commander and Quick Shifter now.

Gilles Rearsets ordered, Harris Quick-Release fuel-cap ordered and a few other bits. It's coming along.

I'd love a BMW but it's just too much, I'm scared about chucking this down the road, never mind a £15,000 bike...

Took a risk and bought a pair of paddock stands from Germany for £60 delivered. I was a bit sceptical but seriously they're really stable, I'm trusting the bike on them right now whilst typing this.

Oh and my Gilles arrived:

Power Commander arrived (thanks to iSSueS from 125ccSportsBikes):

I just got an e-mail back from Dynojet which has given me a bit of bad news. The reason why I wanted this was so I could add a Quickshifter to it, but here's what they said:

quote:
Please note, because this bike runs eight fuel injectors (2-injectors per cylinder) you will also require a Dynojet ignition module for the quickshifter to function correctly.

It's a further £290 (ish) on top of the original £180 for the Quickshifter so it's becoming difficult to justify now. I got the Power Commander cheap but after it's installed with a custom map you're still talking quite a bit of money. I just don't think the Quickshifter is worth paying a further £500 for in all honesty.

Still, it's a nice day out -- I'll go and attempt to fit the Gilles in a bit.

I've booked it in at a Dynojet centre for installation and a custom map. Only performance mods really is the Racefit Super Slash and K&N Air Filter to be honest. The only headers that are kind of similar are the Yoshi R-55's apparently and I simply can't be bothered with doing them.

Anyway, fitted the Gillies:

So much nicer to ride now with them moved back and up more. I like the carbon too, might have to do a few bits in carbon now... Hmmm.

Lighter, far more adjustment, can get them a lot higher so you're in a more race position. Even on the highest setting I was scaping pegs on the standard rearsets.

The other side requires the fairing to be drilled and I can't decide whether to or not.

i am having the same dilema, mine fairings need drilled for the front bungs, i can ge ones that dont need cut, but they aint R&G, and i ve been told they are the only ones to get, as other ones can actually cause damage rather than prevent it.

R&G are good.

But my Bandit has some damn chunky bungs, think they are Pyramid ones. Mounting is just as good as, if not better then the R&G's.

I was advised against the R&G ones, and went for Motosliders.

Alright so I took it to Essex Performance in Basildon for the Power Commander and custom map:

It made 111.89bhp at the rear wheel which I'm happy about, he said that's a good figure for the bike.

After I enquired about a Quickshifter and he said he can do me a trade in deal with the new Power Commander V which means I don't need a Ignition Module which is really tempting. It works out cheaper than buying the Ignition Module and Quickshifter alone and that includes installation and another run, so I may well change a few other bits for then.

I recorded a quick video of a run but Facebook is being gay!
