Part of our problem is timescales. Im not here as from next thursday, for 9 days odd. Then im back a few days, then Donna goes away. Just after paying out for standard bits, it just bad timing and have to rush things.

My 5year old Astra was fine.

But if a company has sold you a crap product (i mean this particular one) and refuse to help then take your business elsewhere. I never understand how companies can fuck customers over (happens at work sometimes) and people get all pissy and trading standardsy.... Then end up spending more money with the company?!

If you don't vote with your feet they will carry on fucking people over! And even if your action leads to no change etc at least they didnt get your money!

Just had a call. Things have slightly changed. Seems were going car shopping, of the VAG varient With more of a budget than we'd thought.

been so depressed since last night, but hopefully this is the silver lining. Time to upgrade. Wasn't viable this morning.

Cheers Stavs, will also look at this Darren chap, see what he charges. But fingers crossed we may not need it now.

its only another £20k more than a £32k audi s3.

if you happy to be in debt for £30k, why not do it properly and get the GTR imo, in reality it won't make much difference

Just paid this months final payment.

1 gearbox on its way out. Just as im about to go away too.

Anyone know of any more sh1tty M32 gearboxes up for sale anywhere? Only 1 on ebay and got other interest on that.

Today is not a good day.

Even having to look at an Insignia 2.0 CDTI to replace it, but means chopping the garage up to make room. Don't like the new astra.

I want one of those new Alfa Romeos, 26k odd is slightly cheaper than the spec'd Insignia.

http://www.google.co.uk/images?um=1&hl=en&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=alfa+romeo+giulietta+2010&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&start=0

Or unless anyone knows of some really good cars for £24k-£26k, brand new. Bang goes getting something over £30k now

does all this not make you feel like a mug?

you've spent all that time paying out for the astra on finance, servicing it at vauxhall, you don't even use the power by the sounds of it. and now can't afford to fix it. Whats the point of a buying the astra to begin with, then it goes wrong so the answer is get into £25k more debt and what 3-5yrs of having to pay for it............ seriously i find it absoluty mental.

how much has it really cost you over the years? and what have you gained over having something older and cheaper? (its all an ego thing imo)

its not because i think i'm brilliant as i drive an old car

cos if he taps someone in it and doesn't even do any damage the bonnet will rise up and it'll cost him 20k to have it replaced

if that happens, surley the logical thing to do is sell it at a massive loss and get a £75k car on credit

people will think your the nads

Although I wouldnt buy a brand new car I find nothing wrong in people that do.

Everyones got a expendable income, now what they do with it is up to them whether thats save (for what?) go to football, golf. Sit in the boozer 4/5 nights a week its up to them. Id prefer a car tbh

3CM, no point in writing all that stuff as it means nothing to us. Please don't assume you know our situation or anything to do with our finances. If I wanted your opinion on what you think we should do with OUR money, i'd ask, but I haven't, so all that writing was for nothing Do I feel like a mug? No more than the thousands of others who buy new cars no. We don't want an old shitty car thanks. We've been there and done that.

Pricing up S3s, (£31.2k), S4 (£39k), A4 S line (£33k).

Sure the cars cheapish to buy, its the options that add up the bill. Sat nav, leccy mirrors, parking sensors etc.

James, will send you a PM about the Audis.

Off to look at Sirrocco R's now.
