You will regret it when the new VXR comes out.
I would expect a higher quality of car for the price you pay.

I gotta say that S3 you posted looks horrid imo.
Yes it will be a great car but for that money it better be.
What about a K1 Leon??? I think they look superb basically the same running gear but with a nicer body and not as expensive.

2011/12. What should we do in the meantime for a year???
tbh, im getting to that age where the bike excites me far more than the car. And the new cars quicker and more comfy. Give it a few years, u'll want comfort more than excitment

Dash looks like someone in nursery has designed it Hated it.
I love the Cupra R's and such, but dash is shoddy.

We wanted one, its what we were gonna hold out for as its the best circ £20k hot hatch imo.
But Vauxhall are too busy milking every possible bit of cash from the VXR. I hear they are painting is bright green and calling it the Eco VXR

It wasn't a trouble till recently. Its been a good car, not had a problem with it.
But reading around, it seems that lots go, whether they are low mileage, or high. We've got one of the highest so far, but its not used hard. Others are letting go much sooner, so its really a lucky dip. So might last, others its a case of when not if.....
Be weary VXR owners, there are plenty that have gone pop.

I like them Daimo, something I was looking at as a next car, however I am told they drive quite bland compared to the more 'raw' power of the VXR (he's had both too) which isn't what I am looking for. Obviously you are though so I think it's a good decision.
I'd go for the black edition too, I think it just looks that bit more special.

R32 sucks balls. More money, and an older design, with underpowered engine (for its size).

Thats the case, its what Donna wants, tbh im not gonna complain at anything really It is a much blander drive for sure, but more comfy, and should be able to get back in the garage when it snows
If I/Donna wanted a hot hatch sporty fun car, it deffo wouldn't be this though. Too refined. I did suggest a 2nd hand Aston Martin, but has to be new. Also suggested a Atom, but for some reason she wasn't keen on that for the winter

Atom
Yeah refined is the word I should use rather than bland, it's still 280bhp at the end of the day I'd imagine in standard form it's probably on par with the VXR anyway, taking transmission loss into it, but the ride and quality will outweigh the VXR by miles.

The S3 is way overpriced though mate you have to admit. Why not just go the whole hog and get an S4 coupe?

Don't think it suits white, which is strange seeing as most new cars do.

Do you get them with a kit?
There's a couple of white ones with black wheels about here that look a lot better than the one in the first post.
