i went from the 160bhp punto GT to the 2.2vx, regardless of the power drop i felt the car was easier to drive faster because i didnt have to factor in turbo lag or anything, dont get me wrong, the sudden boost of power when the turbo kicked in was nice but it wasnt missed too much

i went from an Astra Gsi to a 321bhp Z3M and can easily say the N/A is far better. But then thats because an Astra is pants and the BMW awesome.

my Clio is N/A and tbh i think it suits the car, smooth power delivery and you have to rev it to get it goingL which is great fun. However low revs 2nd/3rd and some goon tries to race and you will be left pootling along.

have you seen a lambo with a turbo tho :O

or that ford gt with a twin turbo setup!

no doubt you gain loads of power and torque, but it all boils down to how you want the car to behave.

If Turbo's were the best thing ever,

Then a 106 gti would've been turbo'd.

Same with 1.2 16v Corsa Sxi. It would have a turbo.

turbos are getting more and more common in cars now ... esp diesels . go back 15 years and who would of had a diesel then? not many people becasue they were dogshit slow tractors that couldnt pull the skin off custard.

2 words Nic.

SR NOVA.

where's the turbo mate?

If they had put a turbo on it, it would've twisted the chassis due to too much torque. Probably blown the welds on the intake anyway, or fried the piston rings
