I'm afraid you just get branded that way, i have a few asian mates, but i will admit i am a bit warey of others. it's all this me and my brothers crap. the ones that are truly english - you by the sounds of it are sorted.
But like all groups, there are idiots. the other week i was threatened with an iron bar when we beat some asians in a football game, we hadnt even said anything. it works both ways you know.

I'm also hindu, but i have to agree there are so many asian idiots out there making a fool of themselves as well as causing serious trouble!
Its just a case of peeps tarring others with the same brush, and lack of understanding.
But to be honest i haven't had any problems / dodgy looks since 9/11.
