Nice one, absolute bargain
And an advert for a Corsa GSi with legible text I am shocked.

What were you going to go to on it? I think I may have paid too much tbh. Although it will strip for more than that.
. If the shell was crap I was just going to strip it, but with it only on 2 owners I didn't want to, could not deciede on weather just throw a 1.6 back in it or a red top

The guy is full on hard work. Just called then, he wants me to drive to his work, pick him up, take him to the bank, in the middle of the town centre with a trailer on, then to the car which is in a council depot which is not open to the public and wait outside while he assembles some people to push the car on to the street.
I can see this taking many hours.

Did cross my mind, was going to see how a donor Vectra/whatever I need compares to finding an X16. The X18XE1 will probably be in better condition as well!

Ya, Tweeks don't list them in a 195/50/15 though. Going to get the same size as the Puma so they're in stock when the Corsa goes.

They don't do proper sizes for Corsas tho 185/55/15s or possibly 205/55s but I suspect they'd be pushing it
Indy Sport TR4/5s on the other hand come in 195/50/15s, don't know if they're any good tho
Indy Sport TR4s

Could also get a cheeky offer in on these -
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320567649238&_trksid=p2759.l1259
Warren - not sure which way to go really. Need to find a donor fairly quickly so it might just be a case of what comes up to decide what engine it ends up with.

Won't be going on the road - no money for tax/MOT/insurance. Tyres are just for TVL then it'll go back on the 14s to be sold on I think.

I would agree that you may have paid too much but even if you paid £150 the difference in money is nothing TBH unless you are talking percentages.
As long as the kit is straight you are laughing. The engine is probably scrap, ingress of water could mean hydraulic lock so the valve gear in the head could be naffed as well as the block? I broke an almost standard GSI with a mint GMAX kit for about £1400 but that was a runner, so I could sell engine parts in confidence. Not a bargain but likewise you weren't shafted either.
By the time you have picked it up, it seems a fair bit of money to me. However, so I can expand, before a reply I paid £600 for a non-running GSI with a £2k engine rebuild, full suspension kit etc over 6 and a half years ago.

Nice, putting some semi slicks on it mate?
Nice try at trolling.
That would be a great idea on a non-runner wouldn't it.
