You'll lose muscle mass of you just do this, hence why I'm not just purely this. You need a mix of the cardio and weights to keep the mass whilst you drop the fat.

I'm going to keep working my upper body and core etc, but if I loose some muscle mass I won't loose sleep over it

its basically an intense cardio training circuit, it will achieve the same as running, swimming and most other cardio excersizes.

as for the diet/food thing, well theres a very simple biological rule you need to follow which is;

to lose weight you need to burn more calories than you eat

the average person burns 2500 cals a day just living + whatever cals you burn from working out, so put simply as long as you consume something like 1800 - 2000 cals a day you will lose weight if you eat more than this you wont, so whilst its true in some sense that you can lose weight and not particularly stick to a strict diet you still need to count how many cals your burning and consuming in each day.

As for the rest of nutrition well if you eat shit, not enough protein, carbs and good fats you wont put any muscle on and your gains will suffer a lot (that said px90 is bolox for putting on muscle any way)

also on a side note the whole "toning up" theory is a bit of a myth, you cant tone muscle you either increase its size or lower your body fat % which will give the impression of larger/more toned muscle as there is less fat covering the muscles so they are exposed more.

its something along the lines of having a pea under a thick duvet obviously you wont see the pea, yet if you put a thin sheet over the pea it obviously shows through, thats the same as having less fat over your muscles, abs ect.
