I've ordered a memory card, metroid, XIII and a Scart lead for it instead of the AV cable, all for £15

What you mean by softmodded?
All you need is an SD card and you can install a homebrew channel, which lets you do the above and play downloaded wii games etc. Not bothered doing mine yet, keep meaning too.

Games and bits and bobs turned up today
However, I ordered a scart cable for it instead of the normal one that runs through the aerial plug on the telly. The picture now isn't as liney but seems more washed out? Ideas? It is currently plugged into the TV via the 3 separate colors, would putting a scart plug on the end make it any better?
