I always thought they had a passive house last series, unless it didn't actually make it.

Is rather impressive, still dont like the exposed areas, looks a bit like a lesiure centre, but it is a pretty cool house, and nicer than I was envisaging

It's far too sterile, it looks like an office rather than a home. But that's down to the lack of colour, soft furnishings and the exposed wiring/heating system around the house. However the building is pretty special though and the eco aspects of it all is brilliant.

Think all the trunking and the ducts should have been hidden. Along with the exposed brickwork. Didn't look very homely in the end!

There is a *mental* house like that that I know of...not sure if the link will work, but it's a street view snapshot:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=ernest+renishaw+house+wotton+under+edge&ie=UTF8&hq=ernest+renishaw+house&hnear=Wotton-under-Edge,+United+Kingdom&ll=51.644232,-2.389494&spn=0,0.003605&t=h&z=18&layer=c&cbll=51.643834,-2.390678&panoid=6QBtFQu-YzCig30LxrmO2w&cbp=12,148.21,,0,5

Hope that works

That's pretty cool Jules, and only 25 minutes from me - I may have to go and have a look at it!

Was a mess. Looked like the product of an engineer playing designer for the weekend.

had so much potential, was crap at the end, some nice bits, but ruined by their touch and bad/cheap choices on certain things

I did, and as soon as they said they overspent I guessed £340k before he finished the sentence. I'm so proud of my Mrs Marple skills.

They budgeted £250k and spent £340k. Sorry!
