I had one when I was 18. You are entitled to one, the claim manage company that deals with you will sort all that out for you and the bill will go to the other parties insurance company
Really sorry to hear about the crash though Hope the kids are ok, Must have shook them up!

you will get a courtesy car from a third party company (i got mine from drive assist) and they will just bill it to the other persons insurance company, as shaun said.

Different companies are different, if it's definitely his fault tho, I imagine you could get one because his insurance would be covering the cost so whatever your policy says doesn't really matter. Although I've never been in the situation so I'm just guessing really
Edit - Too slow

Dont do anything through yours, apparently if you involve your insurance it counts as a claim for some fucking unknown wierd reason

When I was involved in a pile up I had to pay for my own hire car and claim it back afterwards.
Took over 2 years to get the money (but my situation was a lot different as it involved an uninsured driver)

When some guy pulled out in front of my sister, she phoned about a car the next day and they were supposed to be sorting it out, but didnt have a car (ended up with money instead per day without a car)

Forget about the car, it's just a lump of metal, main thing is you're all ok.

This is genuinely what puts insurance up.
Why did you go through a claim management company and not just let the insurance deal with it, considering that's what they are there for

Glad you're ok, did you declare your mods? Wouldn't have thought it would matter as it should go through the other guys, but you know what companies are like.
Am4nf - her insurance company will find out about it regardless as both insurance parties will talk to eachother about it.
The guy saying it was his fault makes no difference unless a) its in writing
B)you have the policeman/womans badge number and they are willing to state what he said.
I had a guy say it was his fault (it was) and then his insurance company got him out of it and it ended up being a split settlement between insurance companies.
Also you may lose your NCB until its resolved.

I know mate, but some people on here seem to be declaring a claim when it wasnt their insurance that paid out..........
