I've had female friends in the past, some of them turned into more than that .... but a couple were actually just really good friends, I don't really see them anymore though, it's just TOO much hassle when you have a GF imo. Shame though.

Yeah I have quite a few as mates, 1 is my best mate who I would probably tell more too than some of my male friends as I trust her more and she can give better advice in most situations.

I think everyones missing the point. Dosnt he mean a best friend as in the girl be the first one you tell gossip to, the one you have slumber parties with, the one you paint their opposite finger nails, the one you go shopping with etc etc.
