My car is as quick as a 3.2 V6 A3 going up a hill off a roundabout from 30-90 on a public road.

has no warrenty though mate, your driving a time bomb tbh
what if the exhaust broke and you had to pay about £500 for a nice aftermarket one?
you would be better off spending about £20k on another car and not having the worry of facing a large bill

Being serious for once if something goes wrong with it in the next year I'll be on the phone to Audi UK asking for it to be fixed for free anyway as things shouldn't be breaking on a car of this age, warranty or not.

They are quite reasonable depending what it is. There's a few people on the audi forum that have got in touch with the head guy at Audi UK after having no luck with the garage and he usually gets Audi to make at least a contribution to the cost or supply the part for free if the car isn't very old. My cousin has managed to do it with BMW too when he had his 1 series. Got a £1500 part as a good will gesture from BMW because he was within a year of his warranty expiring.

I'd feel a lot better if Audi would let me know what the new A3 is going to look like and when it's going to come out and not have a 6 month waiting list for it. Can't really sleep at the moment cos of this playing on my mind TBH.
Can you tell Steve to buy a new ABS sensor and fit it with pics because that is doing my head in at the moment

Audi in their wisdom of making the car look better rather than being practical don't have built in roof rack mounting points. So you have to buy a rack that somehow locks directly to the bodywork and I don't want that, will scratch the paint. Plus when I go in the pub after riding its a lot easier for someone to nick the bike if its on the outside of the car

completely agree although from experience Audi tried everything to get of painting my roof rails on the TT when they had corroded after 3 years saying that it wasnt covered by their 12 year paint warrenty as it was classed as trim
however from experience Audi will tend to cover most faults within 6 months of warrenty expiring
I think over recent years they are more strict as warrenty claims are costing them a fortune and they make most of their profit from labour and parts

I am Cantona. I would like all manufacturers to do a lifetime warranty or at least a 5 year one.

Why do you think you see alot of VW, Audi, BMW and mercs for sale privately after 3 years - no one wants to run the risk

i think the whole new car scene isn't for me, Seems a lot of money just to satisfy some worry/fear people have of cars breaking.
so you get people buying a brand new car and feel happy its lasted 3yrs
it doesn't add up in my head

it wont add up in your head if you dont know all the facts and reasoning why people buy new cars
Same as we dobnt know why you buy a rado that spends more time off road than on the road, to which you have spent 6k in repairs when it only cost you 4k
Each to their own
