not much money in the car itself as its an early dash 2.5 S1, what else is on the plate as cant see the plate being worth much either if its just the 944 thats interesting on it!

as it was immaculate when parked up just stick it in for an mot if it needs to much punt it! sometimes i still miss my old 2.7 great fun car

If i break it then there will be an immediate £1500 loss on the plate

I'd like to put it on the road again.

Just seen the pics... That appears to look pretty clean! Definitely worth getting it back on the road and selling it.

Infact, I'd put it on eBay as is.. I recon you'll make more profit that way.

Is the plate really worth £1500 though?

Is there a raft of *** 944 plates for sale at £1500 on the DVLA site?

Always see S3's for sale with S3 plates valued at £500, £750 etc but you can buy them direct from DVLA for £250 all in...

It was covered in moss for a while then i was cleaning the wall and slabs and gave it a quick blast with the powerhose.

It looks like it's just needing window seals exterior wise and a wheel refurb.

It's more the mechanical dabbling that i'm wary of given that all my mechanical experience has been newer cars during my apprenticeship or mucking about with XE's.

Its probably a valuation by one of those sites like NewReg, they MASSIVELY over-value plates.

My Dad enquired about selling the plate to some private plate lot and was offered £1500 for it.
I don't know exactly when this was to be honest it may not be worth as much now i guess.

They are very, very, very basic mechanically.. Total doddle to work on! If you havent seen a car with a trans-axle before the underneath is going to confuse the fuck out if you

Theres a pile of parts in the garage for it, just looks like a major service kit.

Define trans-axle for me ?
I worked for Renault/Nissan til last year as a tech, i'm guessing it'll have a rear diff & shafts etc?

The clutch is in the bellhousing on the engine (font of the car) and the gearbox is on the axle at the rear of the car.

Sounds intresting, dont think i've encounted a setup like that before.

So in theory the clutch cylinder should be a piece of piss to replace.

Be nice to get it on the road though. IF you do get rid of seats which i highly doubt it, can I be first to know?
