Today I got the wheels back from the powdercoaters! It took them 7 hours to get all the old coating off in the shot blaster. They've then had a coat of bright silver powder followed by clear lacquer and then a 3 hour bake at 200 degrees.

They tyres are some skinny 195/40/17 Toyo Proxes. I still plan on using my other wheels with R888's for anything needing more grip.

So, I then went straight down Kwik Fit to get them stretched on

These were then fitted this afternoon, along with new locking nuts and some black caps to hide the bolt heads. I have centre caps but these need changing!

More soon! I have an OMP cage being delivered in the coming days, and I will be upgrading to a 2.5" exhaust

I see what you mean, that long line is only a shadow.

There is a ding in the rear quarter but it's only a couple of inches long, I'll get it popped out next time I'm at the bodyshop

Looking good, those wheels have really made it.

Is that a dent in the passenger side rear quarter?

They are actually alright, they just need some conditioner

They aren't the best tyres in the world but they are certainly ok

Yeah, as above

"There is a ding in the rear quarter but it's only a couple of inches long, I'll get it popped out next time I'm at the bodyshop "

I was moving the car around on the engine crane when fitting the engine and it swung about and knocked into my toolbox

Easy fix though and no paint damage

Just a quick update:

I cut the boot floor from MDF

Then carpeted it, bolted the sub and amp to it (through the inside of the sub box) then bolted it to the floor

How cool are these? lol, for the rear view mirror

Lastly I've removed the old GSi bumper and stripped off the splitter, grille and fogs and swapped them onto the new bumper

I've also swapped the wings over

I'll hopefully have it all rebuilt this week
