He is a twat for having done this. And yeah I would of never said a good word about him again had he left us.

But I'm pleased for the team as when he gets back in form he is our best player. Shame he is shit at the moment.

I wonder if he's going to receive any grief about this from fans on match days? :/
I'm glad he's staying personally but i doubt the majority will forgive him for these antics!

Same, he'll be up to his usual badge kissing tricks before too long trying to win over the fans no doubt!

Rooney stated: "I said on Wednesday the manager's a genius and it's his belief and support that convinced me to stay."

I don't take back anything I have said about him in the last few days as at the time I said it I meant it. He well and truly pissed me off saying what he said about our club. He has to start putting some performances in like he did last season to get back in my good books.

If all of a sudden he starts playing as well as he was last season i think i will be even more annoyed towards him because it will just look like he has been playing badly on purpose to try and force a move away from the club.

Would be interesting to see how his team mates react to him staying aswel after he has effectively said they are not good enough

Exactly that, he wasn't near to being the highest earner in the Utd squad iirc? I'd be pretty certain he is now!

Was on 90k yeah. Rio was the biggest earner on 130k.

I guess Rooney will be on something between 150k & 200k. Can't see it being more than that.

Nah as Cosmo/Dick Raper & the rest of those in the know keep informing me, United don't have any money so if anything he has taken a pay CUT.

TBH even before all this it was pretty obvious his new contract wouldve been more anyway. Who signs a new contract anywhere, normal work included, on less or the same money? Except Torres and all of the Liverpool team.
