I reckon I can get money back actually, say it was bought as a gift and it doesnt fit after trying.

Reckon I'll just get a credit note.

Certainly worth trying that idea tbh.

As Ben said, covers should only be used indoors on super clean cars if you're fussy about the paintwork - which I know that you are!

The only thing I'd suggest as an external protection idea would be an outdoor bubble, but thats pretty damn anal and expensive!

Getting these in a week or so

Not cheap but anyone that knows me or been out in the car with me knows that the only thing the car is now lacking is brakes and for me to be happy I need these Alcons.

Do you want to buy my standard VXR brakes? Mintex 1144 pads and Courtenay 22G discs with calipers and braided hoses?

£300

I like the fact in 3 days it went from not being able to warrant spending £1400 on brakes to having them ordered

I know, I had planned to get the Bilstein shocks but Bo Nielsen put me off saying the Bilsteins aren't valved for specifically for the VXR so you won't notice much difference at all.

So rather than spend £500 on that I'll spend more on something that I really need.

Are you taking the piss Steve? Is this one of your ridiculous theories?

Like when you told me uprated pads make no difference?

Fucking hell you are hard ears.

Everyone that has 4 pots on the Astra say they are night and day difference between standard.

these are idiots off vxronline though

i bet you a million pounds you will get them and they will be better, but not a great deal, you will get a better pedal maybe a tad less fade, but not 1400 quids worth, you arent even out driving the standard brakes yet

exactly factor in that and the 1400 quid you are spending just to get a bit less fade (not even convinced you will get a great deal less either), silly imo

i told you all this before just like i told you about that cover but you didnt listen

You are talking utter shit.

And I am outbraking the standard brakes they are wank. You only have to watch the video from Coombe to see how much earlier I have to brake compared to Ian as I have no confidence in them at all.

thats your confidence, not the brakes, better to work on why its happening and improving then throwing money at the problem which may not even exist, stick someone professional in your car with standard brakes and i bet ian wouldnt have been out braking you

Yes but I'm not a profession racing driver like Paul J so I'm going to buy something that will help my car stop quicker.

Thanks.
