The top bit in my first post was written by AutoExpress, most of it is right for once apart from the stripped out bit thats why I posted it.

If you read the bits I've posted by Stu Harris he confirms all of the cars final spec as I came across it on VXRonline.

This should keep the Corsa VXR fresh, I still really want one. Was looking at a Corsa VXR-R on PH the other day just so damn expensive.

If i can pick a low mileage arctic up for circa 10K in the new year ill do it. Was reading how regal got theirs to 300bhp+, but £8.5k seems a little steep. How reliable are they at around 230-240bhp and how much is likely to be needed to be spent to achieve it?

Don't bother tuning it, it will blow up unless you do it properly and that gets expensive as Cosworth pistons are required to make it safe.

I believe the newest MY10 Corsa VXRs onwards have a totally different engine setup with VVT and different exhaust system and different mapping as the tuning companies are having trouble mapping them.

Matty G, remember if you buy one of these new Corsa VXR's you will get lifetime warranty as well

Come on Jim, you have to admire the fact that Vauxhall are making these models now with extra power, better brakes, uprated styling?

Vauxhall been bland with their top of their range cars for years, now they are making decent cars people are moaning.

Ford & Renault can stick their shit up their arse, welcome to General Fucking Motors.

I like the Corsa VXR again now I don't own one, always want one when you don't own it

Trouble is the front end isn't wide enough, you have to fit Janspeed springs to make it look hard.

Will it defo have lifetime warranty or will they say cos it's a limited edition it doesn't apply.

I don't think you can get a mountain bike in the back of a Corsa anyway.

This makes me sad.

I love the car but i just know in its standard 197bhp guise ill soon become bored of the power and want more having owned lots of 200bhp cars in the past. Also a little tuning when your bored keeps it fresh. I was hopeing at remap, exhaust and inlet would see me a reliable 230bhp with less running costs than the Astra VXR

Might have to consider the Astra or Meganne 250 instead.

No.

Corsa is 1.6 16v 189bhp or 197bhp if you get Arctic

Astra VXR (if you mean new one) is 298bhp 2.0 16v
